Ranchi: The Jharkhand govt on Tuesday appointed director general of police (DGP) (in-charge) Tadasha Mishra as the full-time DGP for a period of two years. Mishra was scheduled to retire from service on December 31.
The home, prison and disaster management department on Tuesday issued a notification stating that Mishra has been appointed as a full-time DGP in accordance with the state govt’s rules for selection and appointment of DGP and IGs. Mishra had taken over as the DGP (in-charge) on November 7.
An IPS officer of 1994 batch, Mishra has served as the SP of Madhepura (Bihar), Ranchi (City), Ranchi (Rural), Criminal Investigation Department (CID), Bokaro, and Giridih, besides commandant of the Jharkhand Armed Police (JAP) 2 and 1. She had also rendered her services as deputy inspector general (DIG) personnel, inspector general (IG) human rights, Bokaro special branch, additional director general (Rail) and JAP and special secretary (home department).
