Jharkhand JIADA Goes Digital: Paperless IT System for Investors and Land Allotment
Ranchi: The Jharkhand Industrial Area Development Authority (JIADA) is set to digitise its entire operations, moving to a completely paperless, unified IT system in the coming months to bring all information and processes directly to users.
The authority is collaborating with the Jharkhand Space Applications Centre (JSAC) to build the platform. “We are working with JSAC to create this system and are targeting to launch the first version by Aug this year,” said Varun Ranjan, managing director, JIADA.
At present, JIADA depends fully on manual procedures at every administrative stage, forcing investors and allottees to visit the office for routine work, from land allotment applications to rent payments. Under the new digital framework, each plot under JIADA will be assigned a dedicated digital account and login portal, where all relevant records will be hosted online.
“Once the system is live, people can access it on their computer or through a mobile application,” Ranjan said.
The centralised platform will allow users to check allotment details, pay rents and dues online, and file digital applications for No Objection Certificates (NOCs), project modifications and other service requests. An integrated grievance redressal mechanism will also be part of the portal.
“The system will enable quick disposal of service requests and grievances, and the industries’ communication with govt will improve,” Ranjan added.
Alongside the IT overhaul, JIADA will introduce plot-wise geo-tagging to improve transparency and investor access. All available land parcels will be uploaded to the India Industrial Land Bank (IILB), a GIS-based national repository managed by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), which tracks real-time industrial land availability across the country.
