Autism awareness camp in Ranchi on May 31
Ranchi: A Hyderabad-based research driven organisation, Resplice Autism Research Foundation will organise a day-long free gut health assessment and microbiome testing camp for autistic patients on May 31, to raise awareness about autism in Ranchi.Dr. Chandrashekhar Thodupunuri, founder chairman of the research organisation said here on Wednesday that the increasing incidence of Autism over the past four-five decades is a major concern.“Emerging scientific insights suggest that the bioaccumulation of agrochemicals and 'forever chemicals' (persistent artificial chemicals) may be a significant contributing factor to autism. Reducing exposure and detoxing these substances among couples planning pregnancy could play an important role in lowering autism risk. Also, autism patients suffer from lots of gut health related issues and to initiate an informed dialogue among the patinets and their family members, the camp will be organised on May 31,” Chandrashekhar said. The camp will take place at Shree Bhagwan Mahaveer Viklang Sahayata Samiti from 10.00 am to 3.00 pm. The foundation has shared contact numbers 8433529769 , 8433529435, 9100065552 so that patients can get in touch with them.
