Youth kills fiancé of girlfriend’s mom

Pune: A youth (21) with criminal antecedents was arrested on Sunday, along with his five friends, for allegedly hacking to death a man on May 3 for having an affair with his girlfriend's mother.The victim was identified as Ganesh Sanju Biradar (25) from Sasanenagar in Hadapsar. Police said the suspect's girlfriend, from the same area, was annoyed because her mother had an affair with Ganesh.A team headed by senior inspector Mansingh Patil of the Kalepadal police arrested the suspects — Durvang alias Paras Mankar (21) of Shukrawar Peth, Paras Gaikwad (21) of Dattawadi, Chandrashekhar Somnath Javir (20) of Sukhsagarnagar, and Abhijit Ingle (22), Somnath Ramesh Dorkar (21) and Sahil Sagar Shelar (24) of Hadapsar.Patil said, "Mankar was named in five serious cases earlier and was out on bail. He was in a relationship with a woman. Ganesh, the victim, was married but had a relationship with the woman's mother."He said, "Ganesh had told the young woman to end her relationship with Durvang because of the latter's criminal background. He had pressured her to do so. He had also informed the woman's mother about the matter. This led to repeated disputes between Durvang and Ganesh."
