Woman found dead in Mundhwa

Pune: A beautician (29) was found dead in Mundhwa on Wednesday.The police have identified the deceased woman as Afrin Pathan of Wadgaon Sheri. Her younger sister has lodged a complaint with the police.An officer from the Mundhwa police said the victim was living separately from her husband, along with her daughter and a son. The complainant's husband is in the army, and hence she was also staying with her sister. "On Tuesday night, Pathan called her sister and told her that she would come home late as she was going to a birthday party," the officer said.He said an unknown person throttled her to death and dumped her body near a garbage depot at Keshavnagar in Mundhwa in the early hours of Wednesday."The reason behind the murder is unknown. Her sister stated in her complaint that the victim had quarrelled with two of her friends. We are investigating the case from all angles," he said.
