He commended her unwavering commitment to preserving the harmony and unity of West Bengal throughout her tenure.
Patna: Tejashwi Prasad Yadav had reason to feel happy as his party RJD opened its account in the Kerala assembly elections on Monday. RJD’s P K Praveen won the Koothuparamba seat in Kannur district by a margin of 1,286 votes over his rival Jayanthi Rajan of the Indian Union Muslim League. Praveen garnered a total of 70,448 votes. BJP’s Shijilal finished third with 22,195 votes. However, reacting to the TMC defeat in Bengal, Tejashwi said, “For so many years, a woman safeguarded West Bengal from purveyors of hate, preserving the state’s unity and brotherhood. Today, witnessing Mamata Didi face defeat is deeply painful; Bengal has chosen its own ruin.”
