PTM’s introduced in govt engineering colleges, polytechnics institutes
Patna: Science, technology and technical education department has introduced a system of holding parent-teacher meetings twice every academic session in all 38 govt engineering colleges and 46 govt polytechnic institutes across the state to ensure overall development of students. Department’s minister Sheela Kumari said the meetings, scheduled in April and Nov, aim to strengthen communication between parents, teachers and institutions.During the meeting, parents are informed about student’s academic progress, attendance, and overall performance. Teachers and parents also discuss academic, behavioural and personal challenges faced by students and work jointly towards solutions. According to the department, suggestions and feedback received from parents are being used to improve academic administration, student support systems and institutional functioning.
