Patna: The Patna Municipal Corporation (PMC) has finalised logistical arrangements at Gandhi Maidan for the cabinet swearing-in ceremony scheduled for Thursday. Municipal commissioner Yashpal Meena is overseeing the deployment of 300 sanitation workers to maintain the grounds, toilets and water stations, while an additional 40 workers carried out preliminary cleaning.
The administration has formed 50 teams, each led by a sanitation inspector, drawing personnel from the New Capital and Patliputra circles. All staff have been directed to carry identification cards.
To tackle potential rainfall, the PMC has stationed four super sucker machines inside the grounds and one outside. Drainage arrangements include 83 HP and 10 HP pump sets at Ramgulam Chowk, along with a 22 HP pump, two 10 HP pumps and four mini-suction machines within the venue.
Drinking water will be supplied through four specialised vehicles, eight tankers and permanent taps at gates 7 and 10. The site has been equipped with three pink toilets, five specialised cafes and existing green toilets.
Senior officials said the arrangements are aimed at ensuring smooth management of public utilities and emergency drainage during the event.
