Patna: The Notre Dame Academy Patna Alumni Association hosted its Alumni Meet 2025, themed “River Rendezvous,” drawing a remarkable turnout despite the chilly weather. The picnic-style gathering celebrated enduring camaraderie within the Notre Dame community.
Key highlights included the unveiling of the first international alumni chapter in the United Kingdom, felicitating the Millennium Batch of 2000 on their silver jubilee, and honouring RK Poddar for his distinguished service. Fun games such as Spotting the Dolphin, My Picnic Basket and Housie added to the enjoyment. Ragini Singh (1981 batch) was presented with the prestigious ‘Star Alumni 2025 Award’. Sr Mary Neha, school principal, said the “River Rendezvous” strengthened ties and fostered reconnection and cherished memories among Damians.
Jesus and Mary Academy: A Christmas celebration was held at Jesus and Mary Academy on Tuesday. The event began with a devotional prayer song, “Jhoomen Naachen Gaayen,” invoking God’s blessings. Students of classes I and II performed a lively dance to the popular “Jingle Bells,” while girls’ renditions of carols, including “Charvahe Naache Jhoom Ke” and “Jhoomo Naacho Khushi Se Aaj Yeshu Paida Hua,” delighted the audience.
The miraculous birth of Lord Jesus was depicted through a tableau, accompanied by the melodies of “Merry Christmas” and “Alleluia,” prompting the audience to sway with joy. Children dressed as Santa Claus added a magical touch to the school grounds. School director Ambrose Patrick and principal Pooja N Sharma shared reflections on the significance of Christmas and expressed their heartfelt thoughts.
