The Noida protests on April 13 for hike in wages were marred by violence
Noida: Two X handles that shared videos that were allegedly used to incite violence during the industrial workers’ protest in Noida on April 13 were operated from Jhelum City in the Punjab province of Pakistan, police said on Monday.Posts fasely claiming ‘20 deaths and 99 injuries’ in the protest were circulated through the X handles of Anushi Tiwari Proud Indian and Meer Ilyaz Inc. Investigators have found a recovery email associated with one of the accounts, which is being probed to uncover the individuals or groups behind the handles.“Contact details in the recovery mail would also help in reaching the next chain. This digital trail could help establish the motive, funding and any organised network involved,” a senior police officer said.
