Nagpur: Transparency, ethical governance, discipline, and an uncompromising commitment to quality education are the guiding principles of Ramdeobaba University's (RBU) growth, said former Punjab governor and RBU chairman-founder emeritus Banwarilal Purohit. Extending his blessings and congratulations, he lauded the university's transformative journey and reaffirmed that these values will continue to shape its ethos in the years ahead.Echoing the theme of strong leadership, Shri Ramdeobaba Sarvajanik Samiti chairman Satyanarayan Nuwal underlined the distinction between responsibility and accountability, stating that true leadership is defined by a steadfast commitment to accountability in upholding excellence.Purohit and Nuwal were addressing the gathering at RBU's 41st foundation day celebrations, where outstanding faculty were honoured for contributions in research, innovation, and academics.Under individual awards, recognitions in publications went to Dr Renuka A Nafdey, Dr Yatish Parauha, Dr Ankita Harkare, Dr Mangesh Joshi, Dr Sachin Upadhye, Dr Bhumika Neole, Dr Shubham Anjankar, Dr Shankarshan Tiwari, and Dr Shilpa Kulkarni. Special recognition for 10+ SCIE publications was given to Dr Renuka Nafdey and Dr Yatish Parauha.Dr Yogesh V Deshpande was honoured for the highest citations in Scopus and WOS, Dr Yeshwant Sonkhaskar for granted patents, and Dr Purushottam Assudani for corporate training. The physics department was named Best Performing Department for research, while mechanical engineering was honoured for patents. Faculty consistently receiving excellent student feedback over the past three years included Dr Kimsy N Gulhane, Prof Yoginee Pethe, and Prof Aparna Gurjar.The event was graced by Rajendra Purohit, Kailashchand Agrawal, RBU chancellor Dr SS Mantha, vice-chancellor Dr Rajesh Pande, RCOEM principal Dr Manoj Chandak, registrar Dr SB Bodkhe, and dean, directors, HODs, and faculty members.
