Tom Brady, the seven-time Super Bowl champion, is making headlines again, but this time off the field. While working as the lead analyst for Fox Sports, Brady is also a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders. His dual role came under scrutiny after he was seen in the Raiders’ coaching box during their Monday, September 15, 2025, game against the Los Angeles Chargers. NFL insiders are now raising questions about whether Brady’s access to both broadcasting information and the Raiders’ coaching staff creates a conflict of interest.
Tom Brady’s involvement with the Raiders coaching staff
Brady’s minority stake in the Raiders was approved by the NFL last year, giving him a formal role with the franchise. According to reports from The Athletic, Brady regularly talks with Raiders offensive coordinator Chip Kelly to review film and discuss game strategies.
Although Raiders head coach Pete Carroll denied claims of multiple weekly meetings, he confirmed that he and Kelly
“talk to Tom regularly” and called him
“a tremendous asset” for the team.
Brady’s presence in the coaching box during games shows how involved he is, even while balancing his broadcasting duties.

NFL insiders like Albert Breer have expressed concern that Brady’s dual role could go beyond coaching discussions.
Breer pointed out on X that Tom Brady could gain insights from production meetings at Fox, learn about players, trades, and coaching staff from other teams, and potentially share strategic information with the Raiders.
While the NFL has set rules to limit what Tom Brady can do as an owner and broadcaster, many feel these restrictions may not be enough.
Tom Brady is set to call the Dallas Cowboys vs. Chicago Bears game next Sunday at Soldier Field, and the Bears will face the Raiders the following week, which adds another layer to the conflict debate.
