Nagpur: A 66-year-old man died after falling from a tree while attempting to pluck a fruit on Monday afternoon. The deceased, Moreshwar Yelne, worked as a driver for Atul Doshi, a resident of Ramdaspeth.
According to police, the incident took place around at a house located behind Canal Road in New Ramdaspeth. Yelne had reportedly climbed a stone apple (bel) tree to pluck fruits when he lost balance and fell from a considerable height and sustained severe injuries. Family members immediately rushed him to a private hospital, where doctors declared him dead.
Following the incident, Sitabuldi police registered a case of accidental death based on a complaint lodged by the deceased's son, Ashish Yelne (38). TNN
