Retired IAS officer Kapoor named New VP, MD of MADC
Nagpur: The Maharashtra govt has appointed retired additional chief secretary Deepak Kapoor as the new vice-chairman and managing director of the Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) for a period of two years. The appointment comes as part of an administrative reshuffle within the state-run infrastructure and aviation development agency.The govt has simultaneously reassigned Swati Pandey, an Indian Postal Service officer who was serving as the vice-chairman and managing director of MADC on deputation. Pandey has now been appointed as the joint managing director of the corporation.According to a GR, Kapoor, who retired on April 30 earlier this year after serving as additional chief secretary, has been appointed on a contractual basis, considering his extensive administrative experience. He will head MADC, the nodal agency responsible for key infrastructure projects, including Mihan and several airport development initiatives across Maharashtra.With Kapoor taking charge as the new VC and MD, the state is expected to leverage his decades of experience in public administration to accelerate MADC's strategic projects and strengthen execution of infrastructure initiatives.
