Nagpur: Nagpur University (NU) will introduce a series of new-age, industry-oriented degree and diploma courses from the upcoming academic session, with a focus on employability, emerging technologies and entrepreneurship.The NU administration announced that admissions for the new programmes will begin soon across its autonomous academic departments. The courses have been designed under the Apprenticeship Embedded Degree Programme (AEDP) model to provide students with practical exposure and better job opportunities immediately after graduation. Vice-chancellor Manali Kshirsagar said the university is focusing on innovative and employment-oriented education in line with changing industry requirements and technological advancements. Among the newly introduced programmes is BSc (Hons) in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence, aimed at preparing students in machine learning, data analytics and AI-driven technologies that are increasingly in demand across sectors.The university will also offer BSc (Hons) in Cyber Security and BSc (Hons) in Cyber Science , focusing on digital security, ethical hacking, cyber laws and cyber threat management as concerns over online security continue to rise globally.Another key addition is BSc (Hons) in Semiconductor Material and Devices , a programme expected to support India's growing semiconductor manufacturing ecosystem and electronics industry.
