9-year-old boy dies after falling from slide in Hingna

Nagpur: A nine-year-old boy died after falling from a slide in the green gym area near the Zilla Parishad Primary School in Dhangarpura, Hingna, on Friday.The deceased, Lucky Masram (9), a resident of Nandgaon Khandeshwar in Amravati district, had come to Dhangarpura with his family to attend a relative's wedding. On May 15 around 2.30om, Lucky went to play on the slide along with his cousin brothers.While sliding down, he lost balance and fell from a height, sustaining severe injuries. The boy became unconscious and was rushed to Hingna Rural Hospital, where doctors declared him dead on arrival.Many local residents expressed concerns about the safety of playground equipment in the school premises.Hingna police have registered accidental death.
