2 cars parked outside garage gutted in Akola

Akola: Two cars parked outside a garage suddenly burst into flames in the early hours of Monday in the Kamala Nagar area on Patur Road in Akola. Both cars were gutted within minutes. No casualties or injuries were reported in the incident.A large number of residents rushed to the spot and pushed nearby vehicles away to prevent the fire from spreading.Firefighting teams reached the spot immediately after being informed. Firefighters managed to bring the blaze under control. While the exact cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained, officials suspect a short circuit or extreme heat conditions, as Akola is recording temperatures over 46°C for the last few days.
