Maharashtra Election Results 2024: Shiv Sena, NCP rivalry intensifies as BJP and Congress compete for political dominance in Maharashtra
The rival factions of Shiv Sena and NCP, alongside the ruling BJP and the opposition Congress, are competing for political dominance. Counting will commence at 8 am across all these constituencies in the state. This extensive process will unfold in 289 counting halls and 4,309 counting tables, managed by a workforce of 14,507 personnel. Adequate police security has been ensured at all counting centers, as confirmed by a statement from the state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO). The electoral performance in Maharashtra holds paramount importance for both the ruling Mahayuti and the opposition Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), as the state contributes 48 members to the Lok Sabha, ranking second only to Uttar Pradesh, which elects 80 MPs.
