Mumbai: The
Dharavi Redevelopment Project/Slum Rehabilitation Authority (DRP/SRA) will conduct a single-window verification of ‘undecided’ cases. Undecided cases are those where eligibility for housing has not been established due to inadequate documentation.
The camps will be held between May 14 and May 26 in Dharavi, covering residents from all five sectors, including railway land, where DRP officials will assist residents with document scrutiny, verification and submission-related queries for quicker resolution of pending or ‘undecided' cases, said officials. The DRP/SRA has approached local corporators from all parties to support the initiative.
DRP officials said one lakh units in Dharavi have been surveyed and the draft annexure II has been issued for about 50% of the units. “There are unit holders whose names appear in the draft annexure II, but they have not submitted all documents. This camp is being conducted for such unit holders. There are another 24,000 unit holders who have not submitted documents. These unit holders too can submit their documents for verification,” said a senior official.
