2 autorickshaw permits issued to one person at different RTOs in Mumbai Metropolitan Region

Mumbai: An autorickshaw permit was recently issued in the name of the same person at two RTOs, one at Borivli and another at Thane. An inquiry is being conducted in this connection.A senior official said that the department has taken cognisance and will be cancelling the permit issued by Thane RTO. Activists have however demanded that there should be a full fledged inquiry and action should be taken against officials and agents responsible for issuing two permits to a single person.
