Lucknow: UP govt on Wednesday said that ‘Gau Seva’ (service to cows) was no longer confined merely to religious faith but has emerged as a robust economic model that is injecting new momentum into the state’s rural economy.A state govt spokesperson said that the rapid expansion witnessed in the dairy sector has not only led to a significant increase in the incomes of farmers and the youth but has also generated sustainable employment opportunities in rural areas.Additional chief secretary, animal husbandry department, Mukesh Meshram, said that Uttar Pradesh has achieved a record-breaking milestone in the field of milk production.
