Yogi Adityanath on Tuesday termed the Central Zonal Council as a key platform that would further strengthen the collective vision of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ under the leadership of Prime Minister
Narendra Modi by promoting cooperative federalism, coordinated development and better inter-state coordination.
Yogi, who attended the 26th meeting of the Central Zonal Council in Jagdalpur, Chhattisgarh, said meaningful discussions were held on public welfare, good governance and regional development.
The meeting was chaired by Union home and cooperation minister
Amit Shah and attended by chief ministers of four states.
The council serves as an important platform for dialogue and cooperation among states on issues of common interest, governance, security and development.
Among those present were Chhattisgarh CM Vishnu Deo Sai, Madhya Pradesh CM Mohan Yadav and Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami.
According to an official statement, the meeting focused on several key issues related to governance and public welfare, including the eradication of malnutrition, reducing school dropout rates, ensuring 100% conviction in sexual offence cases and strengthening state-level cyber helplines.
