Can’t hire I-PAC due to limited funds: Akhilesh

Lucknow: Dismissing claims that SP dumped poll strategy firm I-PAC because it designed the TMC’s poll campaign of TMC which lost Bengal elections, Akhilesh said he was not hiring the firm owing to the limited funds of his party.“We have limited funds. We are not getting any funds now as the channels have been blocked,” he said while dismissing reports that the poll campaign curators were dumped because of the poor performance of their clients TMC and DMK. “We are unable to work together because we don’t have the funds (to hire them),” he said when asked to clarify the position again.The SP chief said that “party’s well-wishers” had suggested a host of Indian and international firms which the SP should hire to design its election campaign. In lighter vein, he said he does not have the funds to hire big companies but can assure to spend on them 90% of the total budget of the information department on them if SP forms next govt in UP.
