Lucknow: UP govt on Thursday effected some changes in the police brass by transferring some senior officers and assigning additional responsibilities to others.
Alok Singh, a 1995-batch officer, has been appointed director general (DG) of PAC Headquarters. He was earlier serving as ADG Kanpur zone. He has been given additional charge of DG, Special Security Force.
RK Swarnkar, who was posted as ADG PAC, has been transferred to UP Power Corporation Limited in the same capacity.
1995-batch IPS officer Anupam Kulshrestha has been transferred from ADG Agra zone to ADG Kanpur zone.
Among other key changes, 1994-batch IPS officer Jai Narayan Singh has been shifted from UPPCL and made DG, economic offences wing.
DK Thakur is the new DG and Commandant General, Home Guards, while retaining the additional charge of civil defence.
BK Singh, currently serving as DG CID and Cyber Crime, has been given the additional charge of UP-112. Singh’s efforts as DG cyber, led to cyber fraud recovery of Rs 425 crore and the state topping in India.
A Satish Ganesh has been given additional charge of ADG Crime along with Traffic and Road Safety.
SK Bhagat, serving as ADG Crime, has been made ADG Agra zone, while Geeta Singh has been shifted from IG Prosecution to IG Training Directorate.
