Three held for murder of man

Palakkad: Pattambi police have arrested three people in connection with the murder of a 64-year-old man, who was found dead under suspicious circumstances at Kodolur. The deceased, Muhammed, was found lying inside his younger son's house around 7.30am on Sunday with a head injury. He was alone at the time. The house belongs to his son Sadiq, who is currently abroad. After postmortem, police confirmed it as a case of murder.The arrested have been identified as Muhammed Rafiq (39) and Sajad (36), both natives of Sankaramangalam near Pattambi, and Roy (44), a native of Thiruvananthapuram. Police said the accused had visited nearby houses on Saturday night inquiring about the victim. Based on CCTV footage and statements from residents, they were arrested.
