Rain, thundershowers to continue till Sunday

Kochi: IMD said that rain or thundershowers will prevail in a few places until Sunday, following which dry weather will prevail.Moderate to heavy rainfall was reported in many places on Tuesday. Mannarkkad received 7cm, while Ottapalam got 6cm. Peermade saw 5cm of rain, while Vellanikkara and Mannarkkad got 4cm each. Despite rainfall in several places in the district, Palakkad recorded the highest temperature of 36.9 degrees, while Punalur, Cial Kochi, Kannur airport and Kottayam recorded around 35.6 degrees.
