Cuttack: A 31-year-old physiotherapist was found dead near his rented accommodation in Cuttack district on Thursday morning. The deceased has been identified as Ruhan Kakati of Assam. Police said the exact cause of death is yet to be ascertained.After completing his physiotherapy studies in his home state, Kakati moved to Olatpur in Cuttack district nearly four years ago to pursue an internship at SVNIRTAR. After completing his internship, he continued to reside in Olatpur and was practising physiotherapy in the locality. He was staying in a rented three-storey house.

Police sources said a co-tenant of the building noticed Kakati lying motionless near the premises early in the morning. He immediately alerted the Olatpur police station. “The exact cause of death will be ascertained after the post-mortem report is received,” said SP (Rural) Vinit Agrawal. “We have seized the body and sent it for post-mortem examination,” he said. A scientific team was pressed into action. Authorities have informed Kakati’s family in Assam.
