Nagaland dy CM condemns attack on NE women

Dimapur: Nagaland deputy chief minister Y Patton on Friday condemned the recent racial and physical assault on a young doctor from Nagaland in Gorakhpur and the racial abuse and intimidation of three women from Arunachal Pradesh in South Delhi’s Malviya Nagar.In a release, Patton said such incidents are not isolated, but part of a recurring pattern of racial discrimination, harassment, and violence faced by people from the northeast in different parts of the country. He said these repeated acts of prejudice and aggression reflect a deeply troubling reality that must be confronted with honesty and decisive action.“Racism and violence in any form are intolerable and must be dealt with through the strictest measures,” Patton said.
