Mons Joseph elected KC legislative party leader
Kottayam: Mons Joseph who has won to the assembly from Kaduthuruthy has been elected as the leader of the Kerala Congress legislative party. The meeting of the seven MLAs from the Kerala Congress party was held under the chairmanship of party chairman P J Joseph at his residence in Purapuzha, Thodupuzha, where the new legislative party office-bearers were elected. Thomas Unniyadan (Irinjalakuda) was chosen as the deputy leader of the legislative party, Apu John Joseph (Thodupuzha) as the party whip, Shibu Thekkumpuram (Kothamangalam) as the secretary and Reji Cherian (Kuttanad) as the treasurer. Mons Joseph, elected as the leader of the Kerala Congress legislative party, has been a representative from the Kaduthuruthy assembly constituency since 1996. He has won from Kaduthuruthy as a Kerala Congress MLA for the sixth time. In the previous assembly, he also served as the opposition chief whip.
