Mahendra Kumar Goyal to take oath as Rajasthan HC judge today

JAIPUR: Noted lawyer Mahendra Kumar Goyal has been appointed as a judge of the Rajasthan High Court. He will take oath of office on Wednesday in Jodhpur, according to official sources.

According to the Gazette notification issued by the ministry of law and justice on November 4, the appointment comes into effect from the date he joins office.

Goyal has about 28 years of experience as a practicing lawyer in the high court. His father Anup Chand Goyal was also a high court judge.

The new judge hails from Sardarshahar in Churu district. His wife Shobha Mehta is a district judge currently posted at Bharatpur.
