Woman poisons 8-year-old son, kills self

A woman and her 8-year-old son died after she made the child drink pesticide and later consumed it herself in Lasudia Goyal village under Jharda police station area of Ujjain, on Tuesday.According to Jharda police station head constable, Bharat Singh Chauhan, the woman was identified as Seema Bai, and her son as Rajveer. The reason behind her act is still not clear.The police said that they were questioning family members and persons relate to them. According to family members, Seema Bai and Rajveer were first taken to Agar hospital in a critical condition, from where Rajveer was referred to Ujjain, where he died during treatment at a private hospital. Seema Bai died at Agar hospital.The bodies were handed over to the family members after postmortem examination.
