Indore: A dispute between private college students over a common female friend led to a knife attack in Lasudia area leaving a 19-year-old student injured.
Lasudia police station in-charge Taresh Soni said that the incident stemmed from an argument between students Aryan Mukati and Ujjwal Prajapat on May 30. The two had reportedly been involved in a minor disagreement at college over a common female friend. Police said Ujjwal later contacted Aryan and asked him to meet following night at an open ground behind Bawdi Hanuman Temple under the pretext of settling the matter through discussion.
When Aryan reached the spot with a few friends, he was allegedly confronted by Ujjwal, Shatrughan Shekhawat and Abhishek Walter. The trio allegedly abused him and attacked him with a knife, leaving him injured. His friends rushed him to Jyoti Hospital.
Lasudia police registered a case based on victim’s complaint. Shatrughan Shekhawat, 19, a resident of Scheme No. 78, Ujjwal Prajapat, 19, a resident of Tilak Nagar originally from Thandla in Jhabua district, and Abhishek Walter, 21, who stays at an Ashray Boys Hostel in MR-9 were arrested. The knife used in the attack was also recovered.
