Woman killed, six injured as car overturns near Dewas

Indore: A woman from Indore was killed and six others were injured after their car overturned in Tonkkala area of Dewas on Monday morning. The accident occurred around 8:30 am near Barkheda Phata on Maksi Road.Seven residents of Nanda Nagar in Indore were travelling to Pachore to attend a mass wedding ceremony on behalf of the groom's family when their car overturned after a tyre burst, according to preliminary reports.The woman was identified as Nirmala, wife of Ghanshyam. The injured passengers include 35-year-old Krishna Sahu, 23-year-old Manju Sahu, six-year-old Aryan Sahu and two and a-half-year-old Adarsh Sahu, along with the driver Krishna Murari.Tonkkala police outpost in-charge Ramandeep Hundal said that primary medical treatment was provided to the injured before referring them to Indore for further care. The police have registered a case and initiated an investigation into the accident.
