Water meters stolen from ten houses in Burhanpur

Indore: Unidentified men stole drinking water meters from more than ten houses in Chacha Fakirchand locality in Burhanpur early Monday morning.

The incident, which took place around 5am, was captured on local CCTV cameras showing the suspects dismantling the meters and placing them into bags.

Affected residents, including Rajesh Salve, an assistant project coordinator in the education department and his neighbours, lodged a complaint at Shikarpura police station.

The Shikarpura police have accepted the written complaints and initiated an investigation. The police were analysing the CCTV footage to identify and arrest the accused to know the reasons behind this ‘bizarre theft’.
