Govt land worth Rs 30 crore freed from encroachment, 12 houses demolished
Indore: In a crackdown against illegal land occupation, Indore district administration on Monday carried out a massive anti-encroachment drive, reclaiming prime govt land worth approximately Rs 30 crore.Following Indore collector Shivam Verma's directives , the administrative team targeted illegal structures in Khajrana village area."The encroached area spanned approximately 30,000 square feet, where 12 houses had been illegally constructed. The structures were completely demolished during the drive to restore the land to the state govt," Juni Indore SDM Ghanshyam Dhangar said.He added that the market value of the reclaimed land is estimated to be around Rs 30 crore.The administration has warned that strict action will continue against land mafia and persons, who illegally occupy govt property. Heavy police force and revenue officials were present at the site to ensure the drive conclude without any law and order disruptions.
