INDORE: Three labourers were killed and two others sustained serious injuries after a mini truck loaded with onion sacks overturned near Berkhedi Fata under Piplarawa police station limits in Dewas district late on Saturday night. The injured workers were admitted to the govt hospital in Sonkatch for treatment.
According to police, the
accident took place when the driver lost control of the vehicle while negotiating a U-turn. Several labourers were seated at the rear of the mini truck along with onion sacks. As the vehicle overturned, the workers got trapped beneath the heavy load.

After receiving information about the accident, the police rushed to the spot and launched a rescue operation with the help of local residents. The operation continued through the night as teams worked to pull out those trapped under the overturned vehicle and sacks.
The injured labourers were immediately shifted to the Sonkatch govt hospital, while three others were declared dead by doctors after being brought to the facility. The bodies were sent for postmortem examination.
Police have registered a case and started an investigation into the accident.
