Plot auctions see strong response in Hyderabad; bids up to Rs 45,500 per sq yard in Thorrur
HYDERABAD: The auction of open plots in Thorrur and Bahadurpally received a good response, with one sq yard fetching Rs 45,500 in Torrur and Rs 40,500 in Bahadurpally. The Rajiv Swagruha Corporation conducted auctions for 85 open plots at various places on Monday. Of these, 66 plots were auctioned in Thorrur, 11 plots in Kurmalguda, and eight in Bahadurpally. As many as 150 bidders participated in the auction.
Corporation managing director VP Gautam said the auctions received a positive response. As Thorrur is located close to ORR and the Adibatla IT corridor, the highest bid touched Rs 45,000 per sq yard. “While the corporation had fixed Rs 25,000 per sq yard as upset price, the plots were sold on average Rs 32,500 per sq yard,” the official said.
Similarly, as the Kurmalguda is close to Shamshabad airport, bidders purchased plots for Rs 27,500 per sq yard against the upset price of Rs 20,000 per sq yard. In Bahadurpally, while the upset price was Rs 27,000 per sq yard, the highest bid reached Rs 40,500 per square yard, and the average bid stood at Rs 33,800 per sq yard.
