Hyderabad: Union minister of state for home affairs Bandi Sanjay Kumar has alleged that chief minister
Revanth Reddy is staging "CBI inquiry dramas" to divert attention from the BJP's success in the election results of five states and the upcoming public meeting of
Prime Minister Narendra Modi at Parade Grounds in Secunderabad on May 10.
Bandi Sanjay Kumar made the remarks after visiting the Khajipur grain procurement centre in Karimnagar, where he spoke with farmers and reviewed the situation. He said he witnessed farmers' hardships firsthand and pointed to what he described as a lack of basic facilities at the procurement centres. Farmers allegedly told him that purchases were being delayed and that they were being made to wait indefinitely to sell their grain.
On the issue of electricity purchase irregularities, Bandi Sanjay Kumar asked why no action had been taken despite an inquiry commission report being out for over a year and a half. He alleged that Revanth Reddy did not have the guts to arrest KCR and claimed there were negotiations with KCR.
