UP man booked for allegedly stalking woman in Hubballi

Hubballi: Vidyanagar police have registered a case against a man from Uttar Pradesh for allegedly stalking and harassing a woman in the city. According to the woman's complaint filed on Sunday, the accused, identified as Farooq Ahmed, who runs a salon, used to follow her repeatedly whenever she dropped off or picked up her children from a karate class. She also alleged that he would stare at her persistently. Police said the man went a step further by peeping through her house window and pressuring her to share her mobile number. "Based on the complaint, a case has been registered, and an investigation is underway," Vidyanagar police said. It is also alleged that the woman had earlier slapped the accused after being provoked by his repeated objectionable behaviour.
