Davanagere: Following a recent TOI report on acute water scarcity in Vinayaka Camp near Kurki in Davanagere taluk, ZP CEO Gitte Madhav Vittal Rao visited the settlement and assured residents of both immediate relief and a permanent solution.
During his visit, he arranged for a daily tanker water supply to ease the crisis and said officials would prepare an action plan to provide a lasting drinking water source. The plan includes identifying a suitable borewell location and supplying water to the camp through a pipeline.
Rao also held a meeting with residents and listened to their concerns over the severe shortage. Assuring them that the issue would be resolved, he said he had addressed similar drinking water problems in several villages earlier. "I will find a permanent solution for the drinking water problem in Vinayaka Camp. I have resolved such crises in many villages, especially those facing severe shortages. For now, tanker water is being supplied every day," he said.
