Kakati police arrest 3 for selling heroin hidden in pillows

Belagavi: Kakati police arrested three persons for allegedly being involved in selling heroin concealed inside pillows at Deshpande Galli in Sulaga village of Belagavi taluk. The arrested accused are Nagesh Bhagat, 35, of Sawantwadi, Santosh of Koliwad, Mumbai, Maharashtra, and Rahul Jadhav, 33, of KH Kangrali village in Belagavi taluk.Acting on a tip-off, CCB police raided the house and recovered heroin and other narcotics. During the inspection, with the help of the dog squad, narcotics hidden in the pillow of the accused were found. The accused were later taken into custody, and 12.9g of heroin worth Rs 2.6 lakh and two mobile phones were seized. Police said a case has been registered at Kakati police station, and further investigation is underway.
