Shillong: Meghalaya chief minister Conrad K Sangma wished success to his Assam counterpart and ‘brother’, Himanta Biswa Sarma, who took oath as the chief minister of the immediate neighbouring state for the second consecutive term on Tuesday.CM Sangma, who is also president of the ruling National People’s Party (NPP), a constituent of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA), attended the swearing-in ceremony of Sarma at Khanapara in Guwahati on Tuesday, along with his two deputies and party colleagues Prestone Tynsong and Sniawbhalang Dhar.“Glad to witness the swearing-in ceremony of my brother, Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma ji as he takes oath as the CM of Assam for a second consecutive term. Wishing him immense success,” wrote Conrad, who is head of the Meghalaya Democratic Alliance (MDA) govt-2.0, on his social media handle.
