Dattatreya Hosabale, general secretary of the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, said that while Pakistan continues to provoke India through incidents like Pulwama, channels for dialogue with the neighbouring country should remain open. Describing Pakistan as a “pinprick,” he said India must respond firmly whenever national security and self-respect are threatened, while also keeping diplomatic engagement alive. Hosabale noted that diplomatic relations, trade, commerce and visa services continue because maintaining communication is important for future dialogue. He also stressed the role of people-to-people ties, saying India and Pakistan share cultural and historical links that could help reduce tensions over time. He further urged Pakistan’s sportspersons, scientists and civil society members to play a greater role in promoting peace and normalising bilateral relations.
