Kerala CM Race Heats Up, KC Venugopal Emerges Frontrunner As Rahul Gandhi Holds Key

The Congress-led UDF’s Kerala Chief Minister race has narrowed to three contenders, with KC Venugopal emerging as the frontrunner after Rahul Gandhi’s key consultations in Delhi. Reports suggest most senior Kerala Congress leaders backed Venugopal, while VD Satheesan retained limited support and Ramesh Chennithala slipped out of contention. The delay in naming the CM has intensified factional tensions within the party. Congress leaders say further consultations involving Mallikarjun Kharge and Sonia Gandhi will determine the final decision soon.
