Conrad flags off 84 modern buses in Shillong
Shillong: CM Conrad K Sangma flagged off a fleet of 84 new buses, including 55 electric powered, in the city on Friday, inducted under the PM eBus Sewa Scheme, at a programme held at the New Meghalaya Legislative Assembly.The launch marked the formal introduction of ‘Ka Bos Jong Ngi’ (‘our bus’ in Khasi), under the urban affairs department with the CM and all other members of the state assembly, including ministers and leader of opposition Mukul Sangma, taking the first ride through the city streets.

“The newly inducted buses are equipped with air-conditioning, mobile charging points, real-time tracking systems, and e-ticketing facilities to ensure convenience, safety, and efficiency for passengers,” an official said.
