ERODE: Former AIADMK Minister KA Sengottaiyan, speaking in Gobichettipalayam in Erode district on Monday, stated that he was simply expressing the views of AIADMK members and the general public. He added, "MGR established AIADMK. Jayalalithaa safeguarded it. I spoke candidly to realize the aspirations of MGR and Jayalalithaa." Sengottaiyan further noted that his frank remarks have been widely accepted by party members. Referring to a famous statement by 'Arignar' Anna, he said, "'Let's forget and forgive.' Those who need to understand that AIADMK must unite should take note," he emphasized. His remarks came during a press conference as the 10-day deadline given to EPS to bring together the splintered factions ends today.
