NEW DELHI: A 50-year-old man was found dead after falling from a height at the Le Méridien hotel in the national capital on Sunday afternoon, police said. The deceased was identified as a resident of Lajpat Nagar.
According to sources, he stayed at a hotel in the city during the Christmas period. On Tuesday afternoon, he entered the hotel and went upstairs, after which the incident occurred.
Police said they received information about the incident in the afternoon and rushed to the spot. Initial findings suggest the case may be one of suicide, though officials said all aspects are being examined.
“The matter is under investigation, and necessary legal procedures are being followed,” a police officer said, adding that further details will emerge after completion of the inquiry.
