COIMBATORE: BJP is not afraid of Anna (late Tamil Nadu chief minister C N Annadurai) and, instead, the party is also praising and glorifying him like others, said party state president Nainar Nagenthran on Saturday. Nagenthran was responding to a question by reporters here about the dialogues of Anna being muted in the Parasakthi movie as directed by the censor board. While answering a question about chief minister M K Stalin’s statement that the central govt was using the income tax department, the Enforcement Directorate and the censor board as tools to threaten political parties, he said, “Doesn’t the chief minister know about the release of the film Parasakthi? How did the censor board release this film? Whose film is Parasakthi? How was this film released? The censor board acts according to its rules.” Parasakthi is distributed by Red Giant Movies, founded by Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi. Udhayanidhi’s son Inban is the CEO of Red Giant Movies. Nagenthran said the National Democratic Alliance would form a govt in the state and AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami would be the chief minister. “The number of seats and ministers for BJP will be decided. We are not stressing anyone for a share in the cabinet,” he said.Pointing to the PMK faction led by Anbumani Ramadoss joining the alliance, he said parties started to join the NDA.Nagenthran attended a ‘shanthi puja’ at Sangameswarar temple in Kottaimedu here along with party national co-incharge of Tamil Nadu P Sudhakar Reddy and MLA Vanathi Srinivasan.
