IIT-M invites applications for MTech, PGD
Chennai: Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IIT-M) has invited applications for its web-enabled MTech programmes and postgraduate diplomas, with May 31 being the last date to apply. For admission to the MTech programmes, applicants must have a relevant educational background and at least two years of work experience. The PG diploma programmes are open to graduates, including freshers. The entrance exams will be held in June and July, while classes will begin in Aug or Sept 2026.Professor Prathap Haridoss, dean (academic courses), IIT-M, said, "The programme is designed to meet the evolving needs of learners and allow participants to study without pausing their careers. Classes will be held live online, usually in the evenings or weekends." The programmes will permit multiple entry and exit — learners may begin with a PG diploma and choose either to complete the diploma or progress to the MTech degree. The courses include aerospace engineering, artificial intelligence, and information security. Interested candidates can apply at https://code.iitm.ac.in/webmtech .tnn
