‘Youth not dissatisfied’: CM Saini dismisses Cockroach Janta Party narrative
Chandigarh: Haryana chief minister Nayab Singh Saini on Monday dismissed the emerging narrative around satirical political platform Cockroach Janta Party, calling it a politically motivated issue with no relevance among the youth of Haryana or the country.Responding to questions during an interaction session in New Delhi, the chief minister said he regularly engages with young people and has never encountered such sentiments on the ground. He said the narrative was being unnecessarily amplified for political purposes and did not reflect public concerns. Saini was interacting with members of the Women Journalists Welfare Trust in the presence of his media adviser Rajeev Jaitly. The CM also shared a personal reflection on public life, saying that serving people remain his foremost priority, often leaving little time for family engagements. He said a planned family visit to Vrindavan had to be postponed due to urgent official responsibilities. Reiterating his govt's development agenda, Saini said Haryana would continue moving forward with a focus on transparency, empowerment and inclusive growth to ensure benefits reach every section of society.
The CM emphasised women empowerment, describing women journalists as powerful voices shaping the democratic narrative of the country. He praised their courage, professionalism and commitment, saying their contribution reflected the growing strength of "Nari Shakti" in modern India. Highlighting the state govt's women-centric initiatives, Saini referred to the ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign launched from Haryana under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi. He said the campaign had brought major social transformation, with several villages recording improved sex ratios and, in some cases, a higher birth rate of girls than boys. MSID:: 131310682 413 |
